On the occasion of the 400th anniversary of Quebec City in 2008, the show Le Moulin à images (the image mill) by Robert Lepage was presented for the first time. If you are planning to visit Quebec City during your holiday, the Moulin à images is a spectacle to be seen absolutely.
The picture mill What is
The Moulin à Images-Quebec
The Moulin à images makes us travel through 4 centuries and tells us the history of Quebec by taking four paths: the Waterway (the time of discovery and Exploration of Quebec), The Dirt road (the time of clearing, the occupation of the land and the Culture), the railway (the era of industrialization and the railway) and the air path (the time of balloons, planes and communications).
The screen projected on the grain silos of the Bunge measures more than 600 meters wide by 30 meters in height: the equivalent of 25 IMAX screens! So it’s no wonder that the picture Mill was approved in 2008 in the Guinness Book of Records. Using advanced technology, the quality of the image is also impeccable with a definition superior to HD quality. The screen is even visible from Lévis, on the other side of the shore!
