Did you know that the loss of baggage would be the third most important reason why airline companies receive complaints? It is most likely that you have experienced it elsewhere. Travel Area now offers some tips to prevent your baggage from being at the same time as you at the airport!!
Tip No. 1 to lose your luggage-only one small bag!
This advice is not always possible but, if it is possible for you, you should do so. It is simply a matter of ensuring that the items to be brought into a single baggage that can be taken aboard the Avio. Not only do you élimnerez your chances that your baggage will get lost, you will be able to leave the airport more quickly at your destination.
Tip 2 to lose your luggage-the basics with you
If there are materials or items you absolutely need within the next 24 hours, make sure you have them with you on the airplane (e.g. medications, computer, clothing for an important presentation,…).
Tip 3 to lose your luggage-good identification
Make sure that not only are your luggage identified in your name (name, address, etc.) on the outside of the suitcase but also inside the suitcase. Travel Area also advises you to include in your suitcase a copy of your itinerary. All this should make it easier to find your suitcase.
Tip No. 4 to lose luggage-suitcases are not the same
Several travelers have an identical or very similar suitcase. To prevent an inadvertent person from taking your suitcase, it would be advisable to identify your suitcase with an elastic band or a piece of colorful fabrics. Not only will you be able to identify your suitcase more easily but the other travelers will be less confused with their suitcases.
Tip No. 5 to lose your luggage – watch out for content
Be sure not to include money and valuables (e.g. electronics, jewellery) in your suitcases. In case of loss of your baggage, there is a good chance that you will not be able to claim them.
Tip # 6 to lose your baggage-ship your baggage before you
Depending on the case, it may be interesting to have your baggage shipped to your destination before you (e.g. commercial equipment). You can use the services of specialized transport companies (eg FedEx, XS luggage, Luggage Concierge, etc).
Tip # 7 to lose your luggage-a picture is worth a thousand words!
If you have a cell phone equipped with a camera or just a digital camera, travel space advises you to take a picture of your suitcases. If your suitcase is lost, you will have an effective way to show what your suitcase looks like.
Tip No. 8 to lose your luggage-arrive early!
The more you arrive at the last minute, the more you increase your chances that your suitcase will not be there when you arrive at the airport. The more time the airline has to put your suitcase on the plane and the less likely the company will lose your suitcase.
